英語で写真を描写
TOEICのSpeakigテストをはじめ、多くの英語試験で英語で写真の描写をすることが求められます。
その時に必須になる表現が、写真の位置を表す英語表現です。
また、英語プレゼンテーションで図や写真を説明する場面も多く、実生活の中でも使うことが多い表現です。

写真描写の基本英語表現
「写真の中心に」はin the center of the picture と表現できます。in the middle of the picture と表現することもできます。写真の真ん中には中心となる人物や物が来ることが多いので、スムーズに言えるようにしましょう。
「写真の左側に」「写真の右側に」は on the left side of the picture, on the right side of the picture のようにside と言う単語を用いて表現できます。
「写真の左上に」「写真の右上に」は in the top left of corner, in the top right of corner のようにtopとcorner を使って表現することができます。
「写真の左下に」「写真の右下に」は in the bottom left of corner, in the bottom right of corner のようにbottomとcorner を使って表現することができます。
写真の奥行を表す英語表現
写真を平面だけでなく、奥行きの表現も交えて説明すると、より描写が豊かになるでしょう。
「写真の背景に」は in the background of the picture と表現できます。
「写真の前面に」は in the foreground of the picture と表現できます。
