・desertification
「砂漠化」には２つの要因があります。
一つ目は「気候的要因」です。
地球温暖化やその他の原因によって、降雨量（precipitation/rainfall）が少なくなるために起こります。
二つ目は「人為的要因」です。
過放牧や過農耕、森林伐採、都市化などの影響によって、不毛の(arid/barren/infertile）土地になってしまうために起こります。
